Please complete the form below and attach a document (up to one page) explaining why the nominee should be selected for the Director / Manager of the Year Award.
Eligibility for this award are as follows:
The nominee must have served as a Communications Training Officer (CTO) or in a primary training role within a Public Safety Communications Center for at least two (2) years.
The nominee does not need to be a member of NM APCO or NM NENA.
Nominees should demonstrate excellence in areas such as:
Training and mentoring new telecommunicators
Demonstrating strong knowledge of communications center operations and protocols
Evaluating trainee performance and providing constructive feedback
Promoting professionalism, consistency, and best practices in training
Supporting the development and success of new employees
Contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment within the communications center
NOMINATORS:
All questions must be answered. Incomplete nominations may be disqualified.
In one page or less, describe why the nominee should receive the NM APCO / NM NENA CTO of the Year Award, addressing the following:
Description of the nominee’s communications center (size, staffing, disciplines served)
The nominee’s training responsibilities and role within the CTO program
The nominee’s experience in public safety communications and training
Examples of how the nominee supports trainee development and success
The nominee’s ability to mentor, coach, and build confidence in new employees
What qualities or achievements set this nominee apart from other training officers in public safety communications
